First year classes of our Shanmuganathan Engineering College has been inaugurated on Sept.23rd (Monday) ,2024 by lighting the kuthuvilakku by the dignitaries.

        Miss N.Vennila, Head of the Department of S&H delivered the welcome address. Dr.KL.Muthuramu ,Principal delivered special address. Shri.M.Shanmuganathan Director(Academic), Shri.M.Pichappa,Director (Admin.)and Secretary Shri.M.Viswanathan felicitated in the function. Special guest RM.Vanathi,SAP GTS Consultants, H&M Group India, Founder ,ThatsMyChild advised the students. Chief Guest, Mr.K.Natarajan,Former Director, AIR said youths have become slaves to latest technologies and mobile phones. Most of the students are wasting time on memes. He advised the first year students to use mobile phones and other technologies to develop their knowledge by using them as a learning source instead of wasting time in it. He advised the students to live a nature rich life which gives happy, healthy and meaningful life. Finally Dr.Janaki, Associate Profesor delivered vote of thanks. All the HoDs, Faculty members, parents and students participated in the function.
